Recently I traveled to California to photograph Madison and Kyle say “I do” under the redwoods. It was so special and I was so honored to be part of this very intimate elopement. The whole day couldn’t have been more perfect, from the weather, to the beautiful landscape, to all the feels I had witnessing the immense love between Kyle and Madison.
One of my very favorite parts of the day was seeing them get ready together. Not sure if it gets any more romantic than watching a groom help his bride with her wedding dress. They are so caring and nurturing towards each other and I really love that about them. Another thing I really loved about the day was how it just felt so easy and effortless. There was no stress, only excitement and joy. After they got ready, they flowed right into the ceremony. The ceremony itself was absolutely the best ceremony ever! I can’t say enough about how much I loved that they made this day just about them. It was all so special.
After the ceremony, we traveled to the coast to grab a few beachy photos, then they went out to a wonderful dinner to celebrate! I was soooo happy for them and didn’t want the day to end.
The following weekend, they celebrated with some of their family and friends at Maison du Lac. I photographed Madison’s Maid of Honor’s wedding last year, and so I got to see a few beautiful familiar faces. I love how I have been capturing significant life events for these friends over the past few years now.
